Former WWE star Shad Gaspard, 38, has been missing since Sunday.
TMZ reports Gaspard was swimming with his 10-year-old son at Venice Beach in California when a possible rip current occurred.
Lifeguards were able to rescue Gaspard’s son, who was “evaluated and did not require transport to the hospital.”
Despite divers and helicopters searching the area, Gaspard was not found.
According to an eyewitness, Gaspard directed rescuers to his son before a big wave came crashing down on him. An L.A. Fire Department official told media that Gaspard likely “did submerge.”
Gaspard was at the beach with his son and wife Siliana.
Shad’s Instagram has been updated, urging people to call 911 or DM his family if they have seen him.
