Ahmaud Arbery was chased down by a gang of White men carrying shotguns in pickup trucks – who beat and then shot and killed him on February 23.
The accused murderers, a white father and son – Gregory McMichael, 64, and Travis McMichael, 34 – claim as a defense, that Ahmaud was “burglarizing” a construction site.
Well their defense now seems to have completely fallen apart. New video shows that Ahmaud was not the only person to visit the site, at least a half dozen other White people also wandered on the site to explore.
And the owner o the construction site says that Ahmaud had a perfectly good reason for entering their site.
“It now appears that this young man may have been coming onto the property for water,” J. Elizabeth Graddy, the attorney for homeowner Larry English, said in a statement. “There is a water source at the dock behind the house as well as a source near the front of the structure. Although these water sources do not appear within any of the cameras’ frames, the young man moves to and from their locations.”
