Hip Hop duo Rae Sremmurd have finally agreed to a settlement in the Fyre Festival legal battle — agreeing to return just $18,000 of the $100,000 they were paid to perform at the iconic fiasco.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the hip-hop duo reached a deal with the trustee presiding over Fyre Festival’s bankruptcy.
“The Defendant shall pay the total sum of $18,000.00 (the “Settlement Payment”), as full and final settlement and complete satisfaction of all claims the Trustee has against the Defendant,” the documents read.
Billy McFarland, the co-founder of Fyre is currently sitting in jail doing a 6-year bid for defrauding people out of millions of dollars. Ja Rule is also a founder of the festival but seems to have gotten away with his involvement in the fiasco.
