The British royal family are paying it forward in honor of International Nurses Day. On May 12, the royals joined forces to call healthcare workers on the coronavirus front lines. Kensington Royal shared a clip on Instagram showing Prince William, Kate Middleton, and Sophie, the Countess of Wessex, speaking with healthcare staff in India, Cyprus, Malawi, Australia, Sierra Leone, the Bahamas, and the UK via video calls. Princess Anne, Prince Charles, and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, also made appearances.
“From the bottom of my heart, thank you for everything you are doing.”
“It’s amazing that you’re able to still continue the support and the care that you would normally provide even under these really difficult circumstances,” the Duchess of Cambridge said. “From the bottom of my heart, thank you for everything you are doing. You and your colleagues are doing a terrific job, and I hope you know how appreciated everyone is of what you’re doing,” William added.
The heartwarming video comes just days after Prince Harry filmed a special video of his own with a few words of encouragement for the UK’s OnSide Youth Zones. The organization provides social centers for young people living in underprivileged areas, and Harry has been a supporter of OnSide for years now.
