Did Emma Stone and fiancé Dave McCary secretly tie the knot?
The actress recently appeared via video on Reese Witherspoon’s “Hello Sunshine” series to talk about children’s mental health. Fans were quick to notice she flashed a gold wedding band instead of her engagement ring.
An exchange between Emma and fellow guest Dr. Harold Koplewicz also had fans talking. The doctor joked, “If you marry an anxious man, you’re going to have to know me the rest of my life.” The “La La Land” star replied, “Thankfully, I didn’t do that.”
Hello Sunshine
Dave, a writer and segment director on “Saturday Night Live,” announced their engagement in December with an Instagram photo of Emma showing off her ring, and a heart emoji in the caption.
While they may have met when Emma made an appearance on “SNL” in 2016, Stone and McCary were first spotted together in November 2017. They also made a rare public appearance together at the 2019 SAG Awards.
Last summer, Stone told Elle magazine she wanted to get married and start a family.
The Oscar winner explained, “My perspective about kids has changed as I’ve gotten older. I never babysat or anything. As a teenager, I was like, ‘I’m never getting married, I’m never having kids.’ And then I got older and I was like, ‘I really want to get married, I really want to have kids.’”
