50 Cent: I Choose Tekashi 6ix9ine Over My Son Marquis!!

Entertainment mogul Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson is back in the news, after making what many see are controversial statements about his 22 year old son Marquis, MTO News has learned.

50 went on IG Live yesterday to discuss the release of his former friend Tekashi 6ix9ine. Tekashi was recently released from prison after snitching on his entire crew.

Fans asked whether he’s heard from Tekashi since his release. Fif can be heard saying, No I haven’t heard from 6ix9ine, he’s his mother’s child now he told on everybody.”

The mogul continued, “He’s better than Marquise though. I’ll take him before I take my actual child.”

50 then laughed and continued to talk with fans. It’s not clear whether his comment was just a joke.

Last year 50 Cent incited massive criticism when he proclaimed publicly that the son who looks exactly like him, Marquise Jackson, is not really his child at all.

Most fans were aware of the famous father and son’s fractured relationship, as they’ve taken shots at each other frequently the past few years on social media. In fact, in 2018, 50 went so far as to say if his son were hit and killed by a truck, his feelings would not be hurt.

In mid-2019, Curtis Jackson, 43, was performing at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, for the Master of Ceremony show. He spit a couple of his iconic hits like “I Get Money” and “Magic Stick,” as he commandeered the stage during a concert that included T.I., Snoop Dogg, Cam’ron, The Lox, Fabolous, DMX, Das EFX, Junior Reid and M.O.P.

Marquise Jackson, 21, was sharing live footage from the crowd on his Instagram Story. When IG took notice that Marquise Jackson was in the audience and not backstage, they queried 50 Cent about this seemingly flagrant slight aimed at his son.

“Negro why you didn’t give your own son backstage passes he in the crowd like regular people smfh,” the person wrote on Instagram.

50 then barked back with venom in his words, saying: “I got a blood test that’s not my kid, f— outta here.”

50 Cent has sold over 30 million albums worldwide and won several awards, including a Grammy Award, thirteen Billboard Music Awards, six World Music Awards, three American Music Awards and four BET Awards.

He has since pursued an acting career, appearing in the semi-autobiographical film Get Rich or Die Tryin’ (2005), the Iraq War film Home of the Brave (2006) and Righteous Kill (2008). 50 Cent was ranked the sixth-best artist of the 2000s and the third-best rapper (behind Eminem and Nelly) by Billboard.

Rolling Stone considers Get Rich or Die Tryin’ and “In da Club” to be in its lists of “100 Best Albums of the 2000s” and “100 Best Songs of the 2000s” at numbers 37 and 13 respectively.
