Beverly Hills 90210 actress Tori Spelling is catching heat after she revealed that she would be preparing an online meet-and-greet for 20 fans on Instagram Live — and charging them $95 a pop.
“Can’t wait to do my first ever virtual meet and greet Thursday, April 9 at 5pm PDT,” the actress wrote on Instagram. “Only 20 spots available so reserve your spot now. Link in my bio xoxo”
Fans say that the price is simply not worth it.
“Tori Spelling wants to do a virtual chat with all you house bound people, but she’ll charge you $95 to do it. There’s a pandemic, people are isolated and alone, even dying, but leave it to a D-list celebrity to figure out how to make money off the situation,” one Twitter user wrote.
Another added, “The award for a terrible human goes to… Tori Spelling!!! She wanted to charge fans $95 for a virtual meet and greet and the money would go to…. HER. it’s good to know the coronavirus pandemic has really touched her heart.”
She has since deleted the post.
The actress’ money problems are well documented. She has been sued twice by American Express for failing to pay back balances of $38K and $88K. She was also City National Bank for failing to make monthly payments on a loan.
