Chris Cuomo Tests Positive for Coronavirus

CNN anchor Chris Cuomo has just revealed some big news… he tested positive for COVID-19.

On Tuesday, Cuomo wrote on his Twitter, “In these difficult times that seem to get more difficult and complicated by the day, I just found out that I am positive for coronavirus.”

“I have been exposed to people in recent days who have subsequently tested positive and I had fevers, chills and shortness of breath,” Cuomo continued. “I just hope I didn’t give it to the kids and Cristina. That would make me feel worse than this illness!”

Chris noted that he is quarantined in his basement, where he will do his show “Cuomo Prime Time.” He added, “We will all beat this by being smart and tough and united.”

The 49-year-old visited the CNN offices in NYC on Friday, just days before his diagnosis.

On Monday, Chris was working from home, FaceTiming his brother, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, about the coronavirus crisis. Chris told Andrew, “There’s only one of you. If you get sick, it’s a problem. I know you like to run around with your ill-fitting jacket but just remember that. You gotta stay healthy. I need you, big brother… You’re the center of the family and you’re the center of the state right now.”

Referencing Chris’ location, Andrew responded, “I need to be out there doing my job. You stay where you are in the basement. I think it is very nice. I love you. Be safe. Call me sometime.”

Chris is the third person from CNN’s workplace in NYC to test positive.
