Future is making headlines for the right reason for a change — the rapper has donated masks via his foundation to help combat the coronavirus spread.
“There is so much that needs to be done during this crisis and if everyone can step up in some way, we can all get through this together as we serve our community. I think that our healthcare professionals are the heroes in this situation, and they are risking their lives for everyone, so it is our responsibility to help protect them,” the rapper’s mother, Stephanie Jester, said in a statement.
Tia-Wilburn Anderson, co-founder of the foundation, added, “There is so much that needs to be done during this crisis and if everyone can step up in some way, we can all get through this together as we serve our community. I think that our healthcare professionals are the heroes in this situation, and they are risking their lives for everyone, so it is our responsibility to help protect them.”
Future’s charity The FreeWishes Foundation has teamed up with the Atlanta Sewing Style to make the masks — but the number of masks has not been released.
States across the country are running crucially low on medical supplies. We applaud Future for helping.
