Slim Thug trended online earlier this week after he revealed that he has tested positive for coronavirus.
He says he’s doing well.
“Social distancing, self-quarantining, laid out, man,” he said.
Thug filmed the video from his back yard — a nice sunny day.
“Enjoying this good weather. I can’t go nowhere, but shit, I feel like I’m on a little mini-resort. I’m about to go dumb online and order a bunch of dumb shit just to keep me entertained. I’m feeling good. I don’t feel sick at all. So y’all ain’t got to worry about me. Y’all be careful out there, man. It’s real.”
Before the coronavirus, Thug went viral back in 2010 after he sat down for an interview where he appeared to trash Black women.
“Most single Black women feel like they don’t want to settle for less. Their standards are too high right now. They have to understand that successful Black men are kind of extinct,” he told Vibe at the time.
“My girl is Black and White. I guess the half White in her is where she still cooks and do all the sh*t that I say, so we make it. She just takes care of me and I like that. She don’t be begging and I don’t gotta buy her all this crazy ass sh*t. And she’s a smart girl too,” he continued.
“White women treat they man like a king and Black women feel like they ain’t gotta do that sh*t. Black women need to stand by their man more. Don’t always put the pressure of if I’m f*cking with you, you gotta buy me this and that. Black men are the ones that motherf*ckers need [but] I think a lot of them need to step it up too.”
He later said that his words were taken out of context.
