MTO News broke the news back in January that rapper Future’s 17 year old son Jakobi Wilburn was arrested during a gang bust. Police charged the 17-year-old with possession of a gun with the serial number scratched off at the time. His official charge was possession of an altered ID of a gun.
Well now we can report that the teen is out of jail, His mother and father bailed him out.
Jakobi was released from jail on Tuesday. And while his father was not present to greet him, MTO News spoke with someone close to Future who confirmed that his dad paid the bail.
In addition to weapons charges, 17 year old Jakobi is also facing charges of criminal gang activity, trespassing, possession of a firearm and giving a false name, address or birthdate to a law enforcement officer.
The 17-year-old is being tried as an adult under Georgia’s stringent gang laws and is facing up to twenty years in prison if convicted.
