Bruce Arians, coach of the football team, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, has shut down the rumors that free agent Antonio Brown would be joining the team.
During an appearance on CBS Sports’ Tiki and Tierney, he was asked about bringing the embattled wide receiver over after quarterback Tom Brady signed a two-year deal with the club.
Brown and Brady reportedly have a close friendship.
“Yeah, it’s not gonna happen,” he said. “There’s no room. It’s just not gonna happen. It’s just not a fit here.”
Arians was then pressed as to whether he’d bring Brown aboard if he was willing to take a veteran minimum deal.
“No,” he said. “I just know him. It’s not a fit in our locker room.”
We’re not quite sure what he means by that, but he made sure that everybody knows now that Brown is not welcome in Tampa.
Have the NFL blackballed Brown over his recent bizarre behavior or is it just bad timing for the former Patriots star?
