Britney Spears is hitting back at the haters.
On Tuesday, the pop star, 38, took to Instagram to address people who have been ācriticizingā her posts and sharing āmeanā comments. According to Spears, some critics were āoffendedā by her posting about horses, while others seemed to have a problem with the background the singer was using for her photos.
Captioning a photo of a quote that read, āNobody watches you harder than the people that canāt stand you,ā Spears wrote. āIāve read a lot of things online of people criticizing my posts ā¦. saying I post the same 15 pictures with the same red background and wearing the same white bathing suit.ā
āFor me I get really excited about my posts ā¦. and I like to share them with you all !!!!ā she continued, referring to a series of photos she shared earlier this month. āIāve never owned a white bathing suit before and I simply liked the red background !!!! Reading all of the mean comments really hurts my feelingsā¦. and I wanted to share because you really shouldnāt be saying all of these mean things to someone you donāt even know ā¦. this goes for bullying anyone really !!!!!!ā
The Grammy winner then seemed to allude to the global coronavirus pandemic. āHard times like we are currently living through should really teach us to be nice to one another ā¦. !!!!!!ā
Spears concluded, āPS I saw some people were offended by me posting about horses yesterday ā¦. I am truly sorry if I offended anyone. I think itās important to see things that bring happiness during hard times and making light of a situation can sometimes help people !!!! I love you all ā¦. stay safeā¦ and be nice !!!!!ā
This isnāt the first time Spears has called out the haters. Back in December, the āToxicā singer said it had been āhardā for her to post often because of āmeanā people.
āHappy holidays friends!!!!ā Spears captioned a video of her dancing. āI love sharing with you all ā¦ but itās been hard to keep wanting to share because people say the meanest things!!! If you donāt like a post ā¦ just keep it to yourself and unfollow that person!!! Thereās no reason to ever go out of your way to make mean comments and bully peopleš¢š¢š¢ā
āStay happy and nice this holiday season yāall and God Bless !!!!!ā she concluded.
The starās boyfriend, Sam Asghari, echoed her thoughts about bullying in the comment section.
āItās so easy to cyber attack and hide behind their phones and write mean comments, but when they run into you in real life all of the sudden they act like they have been such a huge fan and want a picture š¤ #haterplease,ā Ashgari wrote at the time.
