Atlanta’s most popular strip clubs are now closed – after a Georgia man allegedly contracted the coronavirus inside a club, MTO News has learned.
The man, who spoke out publicly about his coronavirus infection on Facebook, claims that he contracted the potentially deadly virus after receiving a “lap dance” at a strip club in Atlanta.
That man’s story may have scared the strip club owners in Atlanta, because within hours, most of the city’s gentlemen clubs announced that they were shutting down.
Last night, multiple strip clubs in metro Atlanta announced that they are closing over fear of spreading the COVID-19 coronavirus. Atlanta’s most popular club – Magic City – said on social media that it was closing “until further notice.”
Daryl Mapp, director of branding for Magic City, told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that they closed the club after “guidance from Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms and federal officials.”
Similarly, The Cheetah in downtown Atlanta, wrote on Instagram it would close immediately as well.
Pink Pony, another popular hot spot, said on Instagram it would shut down until March 30th.
