Tyronesha Laws, the woman who made headlines after she was slapped in the face by North Carolina rapper, DaBaby, has broken her silence about the shocking attack.
“We went upstairs on the stairway to take a picture at the picture booth by the stage,” she told TMZ. “I see security saying move, move, move everyone move out the way. I was standing next to a young lady, and all of a sudden I turned around and I said to my boyfriend, ‘There go DaBaby, he’s coming through.'”
Laws said that it was actually another woman who flashed the light in the rapper’s eyes. So she took a hit for doing nothing at all. She was simply an innocent bystander.
“I woke up, my head was hurting really, really bad,” explained. “The top of my right cheekbone, it was hurting like it was tender. So, I did go to the hospital, and I was diagnosed with a contusion to my cheekbone.”
After the incident hit the internet, DaBaby posted a video to his social media where he claimed the light from the phone blinded him, and he couldn’t see whether the fan was male or female. DaBaby then offered to cough up $10,000 for alternative footage of the slap — and to fly her out to see him so that he can make the apology to her face.
