Ciara Cancels Texas Concert Over Coronavirus Fears

Ciara has been forced to cancel an upcoming concert over growing concerns for the coronavirus, which is sweeping the globe.

Cici was slated to perform on March 19 at the opening of the Fort Hood USO in Texas, but the star released a statement over the weekend, saying that her doctor advised her not to perform.

“With the continued spread of the coronavirus throughout the US, as a pregnant woman, my doctors have advised me to limit travel and large group gatherings,” Ciara said, per THR. 

“I am disappointed I won’t be able to return this month to the place where I was born, Fort Hood Texas, and put on the amazing show we had planned. I urge everyone to be diligent in taking steps to stay healthy and safe.”

Ciara recently announced that she and husband Russell Wilson are expecting their second child together. The couple already shares a daughter and Ciara also has a child with rapper Future.
