The charges stem from way back in April 1995, when Petty was convicted of attempted rape in the first degree. He reportedly served four years in prison for his crime. When Nicki first reunited with Petty, her fans warned her to walk away, but Nicki defended him, saying that he was only 15 years old when the rape took place, and the victim was 16.
Nicki is yet to respond to her husband’s arrest publicly. She has turned off the comments on her Instagram.
