Zebra Prints Are Officially Trending as Seen on the Streets of #NYFW
The street style set proves that taking a walk on the side isn’t all that much of a daring feat!

Move along leopard, there’s a new animal on the prowl in the concrete jungle. It’s the zebra that we couldn’t stop spotting on the streets of New York fashion week. The recognisable stripes were everywhere and in every conceivable form. It showed itself on a bag, on coats, on boots, on denim…you get the idea. And in an array of hues beyond the stereotypical black and white combination of an actual zebra.
Working animal prints into the wardrobe can be tricky business but the zebra print is as approachable as it gets. If you’re a beginner in mixing and matching prints, the zebra is a reasonable stepping stone. For one, zebra prints rendered in black and white are a dime a dozen. If monochrome were your safe zone, you wouldn’t have to step too far out. And if you really think about it, zebra prints are essentially irregular stripes slanted at an angle.
The trick is to style your zebra print item of choice as an outfit’s statement piece and keep the rest of the look uncomplicated. Think of the touch of print like it were the cube of sugar you might add to your morning shot of espresso. It’ll add an extra pep to your step – just enough to take you out of your comfort (no prints) zone!
