Trayvon Newsome, one of the alleged killers of late rapper XXXtentacion, has been denied bond by a judge.
Trayvon Newsome’s attorney filed documents with the court back in September, claiming he was legally entitled to be bonded out until his trial for the murder — but it appears that a judge disagrees.
According to legal documents obtained by AllHipHop, Newsome’s hearing was held last Thursday at the Broward County Courthouse in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
“This court having found proof evident and presumption great hereby declines to set bonds,” Judge Michael Usan wrote. “No bonds remain as to counts 1, 2.” Newsome is charged with 1st-degree murder and robbery with a firearm.
The other men charged for the murder were Dedrick Williams, Michael Boatwright, and Robert Allen. The men are accused of shooting XXXTentacion outside of the Riva Motorsports on June 18, 2018. Newsome was not arrested in connection with the killing until August 2018.
