‘Anyone’ Catch Demi Lovato’s Powerful Pre-Super Bowl National Anthem?

Demi Lovato, continuing in what is an increasingly confident return to music and the public eye following a nearly life-ending O.D. in 2018, belted “The Star-Spangled Banner” before the Super Bowl on Sunday — earning raves on social media for her powerhouse vocals.

Dressed in head-to-toe white, Lovato didn’t miss a note of the notoriously tricky national anthem, which has tripped up countless singers due to the range it requires and its easy-to-botch lyrics.

The “Anyone” singer re-tweeted a sentiment from 2010 ahead of her performance, one that predicted she would one day sing the national anthem at the Super Bowl.

She went on to refresh her dreams, tweeting, “One day, I’m gonna perform the halftime show at the super bowl. Onnnee dayyy….”

Let’s hope it doesn’t take another 10 years!

Before Demi took the field, gospel legend Yolanda Adams also turned in a lovely rendition of “America the Beautiful” with the Children’s Voice Chorus of Miami.

It was a powerful one-two kickoff of the biggest game of the year!
