Yesterday medical examiners recovered Kobe Bryant’s body from the helicopter crash site.
MTO News has confirmed that the medical examiners recovered the remains of all nine people who died in a helicopter crash near Los Angeles. And they identified the body of NBA legend Kobe Bryant.
But it wasn’t easy.
Kobe’s body – which has been described elsewhere as “burned beyond recognition” was officially identified along with three others using fingerprints, two days after their helicopter crashed into a rugged hillside northwest of the city.
Now that the federal investigators have finished their inspection of the crash site, they are handing it over to the local authorities.
“We are done on the site,” said Jennifer Homendy, a member of the National Transportation Safety Board.
The bodies of the other 6 victims on the crash have not been officially identified. It’s not clear whether the other victims’ remains were similarly burned.
