Basketball legend Kobe Bryant died in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California, Sunday morning, TMZ confirmed.

Bryant and four others were aboard his private helicopter — a mode of transportation he frequently used — when it crashed, bursting into flames on a hill near Kourtney Kardashian’s home.
TMZ reports that emergency personnel responded to the blaze, but that all five on board had perished.
Bryant’s wife, Vanessa Bryant, was not on board.
The cause of the crash is not known.
In addition to his wife, Vanessa, Bryant is survived by their four daughters: Natalia, 17; Gianna, 13; Bianka, 3; and Capri, 7 mos.
