It happened again. On Friday an Alabama man was shot and killed on Facebook Live. The victim was Livestreaming on the social media platform when he was ambushed by a group of gunmen – and murdered.
The man, who goes by the name Roosevelt “Stank” Rankins, is from Montgomery – and the shooting is believed to have occurred in Georgia.
The video first showed up online from the Facebook account “Crum King.” It quickly spread across social media, and has now been seen more than 10,000,000 times.
During the the video, someone comes up to Stank’s car window and the victim throws his hands in the air. After that, gunfire is heard and the phone drops to the floor.
Stank’s car then takes off, and moments before a loud crash is heard.
Then a man can be heard asking Stank, “[Are] You alright?”
“No, I’m shot,” Stank replies.
Then the man’s voice is heard yelling, “Call the police. Call the ambulance. Call somebody.”
Montgomery police and fire medics eventually did arrive – at approximately 3 p.m. Thursday and located the crashed vehicle.
Unfortunately, by the time they arrived Stank sustained a fatal gunshot wound in the vehicle, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
