Kimora Lee Simmons is a mom again and for the fifth time – but this time she did it through adoption.
Kimora already has two daughters (Ming & Aoki) with ex-husband Russell Simmons, a son (Kenzo) with her actor ex-boyfriend Djimon Honsou, and a son (Wolf) with her current husband Tim Leissner.
Kimora announced that she and Tim are adopting a 10 year old Black boy named Gary. They made the announcement recently to Us Weekly magazine.
Here’s what they are reporting:
“He joins the family as Kimora’s two daughters have gone off to college. Ming Lee Simmons is a sophomore at NYU, and the next youngest (daughter Aoki Lee Simmons) is a freshman at Harvard. Both have started their college careers and join Kimora as the faces and creative vision behind their newly relaunched family business, Baby Phat by Kimora Lee Simmons. Kimora now has all boys at home. Gary joins sons Kenzo Lee Hounsou and Wolfe Lee Leissner.”
And here are pics of the handsome young man:
Last month, Simmons Leissner relaunched her iconic early-2000s brand Baby Phat, which she originally founded with Simmons, 62, in 1999. The relaunch on babyphat.com included 16 totally nostalgic pieces, including velour tracksuits and bedazzled tank tops, ranging from $80 to $300.
The former model’s daughters starred in the on-brand campaign images that featured updated versions of some favorite ’00s trends. In the photos, Aoki and Ming sported the new holiday collection while decked out in throwback accessories (like flip phones!) and posed with kittens (a nod to the brand’s iconic cat logo).
