Adrien Broner may have just secured a new title, but things must be far from good as Broner has taken to Instagram to beg for $10 donations from his followers.
“I’M SORRY I HAVEN’T BEEN POSTING ON SOCIAL MEDIA BUT I’M GOING THROUGH SOME TOUGH TIMES AT THIS MOMENT,” he wrote. “IF YOU CAN SEND ME $10 ON CASHAPP $ABOUTBILLIONS89 I WILL APPRECIATE IT. #SUPPORTMEANDIFIGHT4U.”
Broner may need the funds to pay off his mounting legal costs. Last month, a judge awarded $830,000 to a woman who claimed Broner sexually assaulted her at a Cleveland nightclub. The default judgment was delivered after Broner failed to defend himself in the lawsuit.
Earlier that year, Broner had pleaded guilty in April to misdemeanor charges of assault and unlawful restraint and was sentenced to probation. In March 2019, the boxing champ agreed to pay off a $1.252 million debt he owed to a New York jewelry store, Pristine Jewelers NY after defaulting on his payment plan.
