Tim Tebow & Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters Tie the Knot

Former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow, 32, and Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, 24, are officially husband and wife!

On Sunday, Tim and Demi-Leigh wed at La Paris Estate in Cape Town, South Africa, People magazine reports.

During the ceremony, they exchanged vows that they had written for each other.

A night before their big day, Tim told the outlet, “I want the vows to be perfect. I’m leaving in the traditional things like ’till death do us part,’ but I’m also adding some of my own things to it.”

Tim and Demi-Leigh’s nuptials were witnessed by 260 guests. She shared, “We’re both very traditional. We wanted to look back at the wedding and see that it was intimate, elegant, and traditional. We definitely wanted it to be something that we could look back on and know that nothing was dated. We want to remember this day for the rest of our lives.”

Demi-Leigh revealed that she looked at 50 dresses before deciding on a custom-made gown from David’s Bridal. She said, “I was all over Pinterest. I wanted to find something sleek and elegant and timeless.”

As for what he was most excited about for the wedding, Tim dished, “I’ve been looking forward to three things. The first moment I see her in her wedding dress, the first kiss, and the first dance together as man and wife.”

He elaborated, “I’ve been waiting my entire life for someone special, who I can spend the rest of my life with. I was waiting for the right person to come along. And now I’m marrying Demi. I can’t wait to see what our future holds. All of my dreams have come true. It was 100 percent worth the wait.”

The pair also documented their fancy rehearsal dinner on Instagram.

A year ago, Tim popped the question to Demi-Leigh at his family’s farm in Jacksonville, even flying in her friends and family for the big surprise — and it all paid off! He told “Extra’s” Nate Burleson, “She said yes and I’m very grateful for that.”

Tim and Demi-Leigh had been dating since July 2018.

In 2017, Tim expressed his desire to find “the one,” telling People magazine, “I’m looking, but I just can’t seem to find anyone. I don’t want to be single; I’m ready to settle down and start a family. I want to have kids. I have so many things I want. No one will be happier than me when I finally find the right person.”
