Tisha Martin-Campbell visited daytime talk show, The Talk, to address recent comments made by her former “Martin” costar, Martin Lawrence, where he said he never sexually harassed her.
In 1996 the actress left the hit show, Martin, and sued both the show and Martin Lawerence for sexual harassment. The matter was subsequently settled and Tisha returned to the show on the condition that she and Martin film their scenes separately.
Martin addressed the fall out with Tisha in a recent interview and said there was never any sexual harassment.
Tisha in response to this met with the ladies of The Talk to address Martin’s comments. She said, “I can’t go into much detail about the past because there was a confidentiality agreement, so the gag order says no,” she told the ladies.
“He called me within a minute … He was like, ‘Don’t read into what it is, there’s a lot of people that’s trying to bring up the past, and trying to make it news today. But, you know T, we’re good. I love you, and I love your family.'”
Despite her initial shock, both stars maintain that they are still “good.”
“I’m not going to go into details, because I want to respect his privacy, and I want to respect mine,” she continued. “But I will say, by the end of it, it was nothing but laughter and healing. And I got a chance to experience that, and I’m so glad we’re in a good place right now.”
Martin Lawrence has always denied all allegations against him of sexual harassment.
