Rapper Skinnyfromthe9 is going viral this morning, after being robbed last night, in New Jersey.
According to social media reports, the rapper was confronted by a group of goons – who beat and robbed him. They stole his money, credit cards, and his chain which is valued at $50,000.

Skinnyfromthe9, real name David Alex Villegas is one of the most popular young pop/rap rappers out now. He first gained widespread attention after the release of his song “Love Blast” in late 2017. He then signed to L.A. Reid’s record label, HITCO, in 2018. He released his debut mixtape, It’s An Evil World, in November 2018.
This isn’t the first time that Skinnyfromthe9 was robbed – and the last time allegedly ended in tragedy.
In August 2018, Skinnyfromthe9 his father, brother, and a fourth defendant were arrested and charged with kidnapping and aggravated assault in relation to an incident in Somerset County, New Jersey in which the four men were accused of luring another man into a vehicle and beating him.
The charges for Skinnyfromthe9 were eventually downgraded and he was only sentenced to probation. But Skinnyfromthe9 maintains his innocence, claiming that the person who brought charges against him stole a chain worth $8,000.
