Swae Lee has spoken out for the first time since the tragic killing of his stepfather, allegedly at the hands of his half-brother.
“Life has a crazy way of making you stay on your toes,” he posted on Instagram Live. “OG gone live forever.”
He then hopped over to Twitter to leave a few more words.
“I pray this world let’s me keep some compassion,” he wrote. “I’ve been tested my whole life,” he continued before leaving another tweet with four broken heart emojis.
Floyd Sullivan, 62, was shot dead in Tupelo, Mississippi, on Monday night. Sullivan, who raised Swae Lee, and Slim Jxmmi since they were preteens died on Monday night from gunshot wounds.
Kerry Smalls, a spokesman Rae Sremmurd, later confirmed Sullivan’s death and that the duo’s half-brother, Michael Brown, is in custody in connection with the shooting.
“There were no other injuries reported in the home, and no other suspects are being sought at this time,” McDougald said. No charges have yet been filed against Brown or any other individuals.
