Rae Sremmurd have released a statement following the news that their half-brother had been arrested for allegedly shooting and killing their stepfather.
“At this time on behalf of Slim Jxmmi and Swae Lee, we’d like to continue to keep the family in our prayers at such a delicate time,” their publicist Juel Stanley told WTVA News. “Both Slim and Swae Lee are deeply saddened by the death of their stepfather but are thankful for the love and support from him throughout the years of their upbringing.”
Stanley continued, “Though his untimely death has come at such a surprise, we ask that the public just keep the family in great prayer and respect their privacy at this time.”
Officers responded to a home in the 500 block of Lumpkin Avenue at approximately 9:30. Floyd Sullivan, 62, died from apparent gunshot wounds, allegedly at the hands of his own son.
