MTO News has confirmed that Tommie Lee has landed a reality series of her own. The new show, according to folks in the know will NOT be a spin-off of Love & Hip Hop.
The reality star took to her Instagram Story back in August and made it clear that not only is she not returning to Love and Hip Hop, but that she was miserable during her time on it.
“No I am not nor will I ever return to love&hiphop so pls stop asking that error is dead! #tommies**t,” she wrote in red letters. “I’m much happier to not be under that umbrella it was misery and depression there.”
We spoke with a top TV executive who told us that Tommie, whose real name is Atasha Chizaah – has landed her own reality show.
While the details are scarce, the executive told us that the new show will be on BET, not WeTV or VH1 you may have imagined.
The show is described as “non-scripted” will focus on the former ‘Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta’ star’s personal and professional life.
And get this – it’s not going to focus on “ratchet” stuff. The insider explained, “It will have drama, but mostly it will be a positive show about Tommie’s redemption.
So what do you think . . . are you gonna watch a show about Tommie that doesn’t have her fighting folk???
In May 2019, Lee was sentenced in a child abuse case after pleading guilty to five charges, including first-degree cruelty to children. She was ordered to complete a residential recovery program and 12 months of successful aftercare with licensed doctors. Under her probation conditions, Tommie reportedly can’t have violent contact with a child, travel outside the state of Georgia without written approval or attend work or promo events where drugs or alcohol are present.
