On Friday, Cameron broke the happy news on Instagram, writing, “Happy New Year from the Maddens! We are so happy, blessed and grateful to begin this new decade by announcing the birth of our daughter, Raddix Madden.”

Cameron gushed, “She has instantly captured our hearts and completed our family.”

She ended the Instagram post by writing, “While we are overjoyed to share this news, we also feel a strong instinct to protect our little one’s privacy. So we won’t be posting pictures or sharing any more details, other than the fact that she is really really cute!! Some would even say RAD From our family to all of yours, we’re sending our love and best wishes for a Happy New Year and Happy New Decade.”

While she has been spotted out and about in Los Angeles over the past few months, Cameron gave no hints that she was expecting a baby.

In 2018, Us Weekly reported that Cameron and Benji were trying to have a baby. At the time, a source claimed that Cameron tried IVF, acupuncture, and supplements to conceive, but “it just hasn’t worked out.”

The insider went on, “It’s been a long, hard struggle with many ups and downs. Cameron would love more than anything to be a mom.”

The insider emphasized that Cameron remained “positive” about parenthood, adding, “They don’t know exactly what it will look like, whether it will be natural or through adoption or surrogacy, but they aren’t giving up… It’s been a roller coaster of emotions, yet they still believe there will be a happy ending.”

Cameron has kept a low profile since marrying Benji in 2015.

Diaz recently confirmed that she has “retired from acting.”

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Diaz said she was all for more “The Sweetest Thing” reunions with Selma Blair and Christina Applegate, saying, “I’m down. I’m literally doing nothing.”

When Applegate said she was “semi-retired,” Diaz commented, “I’m semi-retired, too, and I am actually retired, so I would love to see you ladies.”

A source recently told People magazine, “I can’t say whether or not she will go back to being a full-time actress, but for now she has other interests, causes she believes in, and time to pursue them. Cameron has made a wonderful life for herself. Marriage agrees with her.”
