Tekashi 6ix9ine is reportedly unhappy with his two-year prison sentence, which is od considering he was facing up to 47 years behind bars.
Days ahead of his sentencing, it was rumored that the “GUMMO” rapper would be walking out of prison this week with time served, but the judge felt differently.
“We are a little disappointed, we were expecting time served because that is what the parole board recommended, but it was in the judges hands,” attorney Lance Lazzaro told HollywoodLife. “Daniel will have to serve another 7 months and 12 days because the time he’s already served will count towards his sentence.”
The rapper reportedly broke down in court during sentencing. He will have to spend this Christmas in a cell. His team has already been trying to secure interviews for his release, and he planned to make a huge comeback to the music scene.
He’s feeling a little down right now but he’s strong, he’ll survive,” Lazzaro continued. “The best thing to come out of today was closure, he knows he’ll be home in July and then he can focus on rebuilding his career and relationships.”
