Bravo fans and Twitter users alike are howling over Emily Simpson’s response to Vicki Gunvalson’s recent tweet accusing Emily of age-shaming her.
After Vicki slammed her “Real Housewives of Orange County” co-star for calling her “old” and “geriatric” on the most recent episode of the Bravo show, Emily clarified she actually referred to the OG Housewife of the OG franchise as a “senior citizen.”
“McDonald’s and Arby’s offer ‘senior discounts’ for 55 and older. So enjoy your roast beef sandwich,” Simpson replied to Gunvalson’s tweet.

It’s the latest jab in the “RHOC” saga over who reigns supreme: The Tres Amigas (Vicki, Tamra Judge, Shannon Beador) or the newer cast members (Emily, Kelly Dodd, Gina Kirschenheiter, Braunwyn Windham-Burke).
On Tuesday night, Vicki took to Twitter following this week’s episode of “RHOC,” during which several of her co-stars — not just Emily — joked about her age.
“Watched @BravoRHOC last night & was shocked to hear @RealOCEmily bash me about my age of 57,” Gunvalson tweeted. “Referencing me as ‘old, I should be in a convalescent home, and geriatric.’ Really? I can’t change my DOB and you will get there too. #disrespectful #rude.”
It was actually Kelly who initially made the joke about Vicki needing to “be in a convalescent home.” When a confused Gina asked what that was, Emily explained, “I assume it’s for old people,” and the three ladies laughed. In response to a fan on Instagram, Emily maintained she “didn’t say convalescent home,” adding, “Let’s be accurate.”
Simpson, who’s 43, has made various comments about Gunvalson’s age in the past. She’s also likened The Tres Amigas’ relationship with the newer cast members to the way seniors in high school might “bully” the freshmen.
Regardless of who said what, Tamra clapped back at everyone who’s age-shamed her with a sizzling bikini shot she posted to Instagram.
“Cheers to being ‘old & geriatric’ #rhoc #ageshamming #52 #grandma #4kids #fitmom #myhipswork #fitoldlady #hardworkpaysoff #vegetarian ~The hypocrisy is disgusting,” wrote the 52-year-old reality star.
“The Real Housewives of Orange County” airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
