‘Outlander’ Actor and Ballet Dancer Jack Burns Dead at 14

Jack Burns, “Outlander” actor and ballet dancer, has died at 14, Metro UK reports.

The paper says his body was found at his home in Greenock, Inverclyde, in Scotland on December 1. Authorities have not revealed a cause, but say they are not treating his death as suspicious.

His classical ballet school, Elite Academy of Dance, shared a touching statement on Facebook that said, “It is with a very heavy heart that we write this post. Tragically as you know we lost our much loved student Jack Burns on Sunday 1st of December.”

The remembrance continued, “Jack was an inspiration to everyone at Elite and touched the hearts of everyone who had the pleasure of working and dancing with him since 2012. We and all of Jack’s family and friends are naturally completely devastated and at a loss for words and answers.”

Services for Jack will be held on Thursday at St Mary’s Church, Patrick Street, Greenock, and his parents Karen and Robert and brother Rory are inviting his fellow Elite dance students to attend.

In addition to his 2014 role in Starz’s “Outlander,” Jack also appeared in BBC’s “Plain Sight” and the Netflix miniseries “One of Us.”
