Rapper Juice WRLD Reportedly Dead at Age 21


Rapper Jarad Anthony Higgins, known as Juice WRLD, has died at age 21, TMZ reports. The outlet broke the news on Dec. 8, revealing he suffered a seizure in a terminal at Chicago’s Midway Airport after a flight from Los Angeles. He was reportedly alive when paramedics arrived on the scene and took him to a local hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after.

The Chicago native garnered widespread praise for his 2018 single “Juice Wrld,” which was nominated for a handful of awards, including a Billboard Music Award for top rap song and top streaming song, as well as an MTV Video Music Award for best song of the summer. He released his debut studio album, Goodbye & Good Riddance, in 2018, followed by his second LP, Death Race for Love, which dropped in March. The latter quickly climbed Billboard‘s 200 Chart and eventually hit No. 1.
