Rapper TI just lost one of his closest friends, and his long-time partner Cap.
Cap, whose real name Terrance Beasley, was one of the most solid big homies in Atlanta. He had strong ties with TI, Killer Mike, Jermaine Dupri, and just about every other Atlanta artist.
May he rest in peace.
MTO News has learned that his death wasn’t of natural causes. According to rapper Young Dro, who is also a longtime friend to the big homie, Cap was murdered while in prison.
Cap was originally charged with felony murder and possession of a firearm during a crime in 1998 and sentenced to life in prison back in 2000. But he was released in 2006 on parole, after new facts came to light in his case that pointed toward the possible use of self-defense.
But he wasn’t free very long. In 2009 he was named in an aggravated assault case, for allegedly helping rapper Killer Mike during a fight. His parole was subsequently revoked and in 2011, he was sent back to prison to serve time on his initial charges.
