Twitter made time to school actor Terry Crews after he tweeted a rather lame message of support for fellow actress Gabrielle Union, following the ongoing America’s Got Talent controversy.
“You’re the best, Gabrielle! You will be missed!” was the simple message from Crews.
Twitter was not happy about it.
The message is particularly weak show of support considering that Gabrielle had spoken out in defense of him after he accused a Hollywood exec of grabbing his genitals.
“Terry Crews is a stand-up guy. Literally one of the nicest people in our industry. He is honest, kind & true professional. I believe him & stand by him. #MeToo,” she wrote back in 2017.
Following her show of support, Crews also admitted in various interviews that during his stand off against the Hollywood exec and other powerful figures, his biggest source of support had come from black women, and no other group.
Gabrielle, however, is receiving public support and an investigation has already been launched into the events leading up to her dismissal from the show.
SAG-AFTRA confirmed that they are involved in the investigation of the allegations against NBC.
“We take issues of workplace health and safety very seriously. We immediately reached out to Ms. Union’s representatives when these reports came to light. It is our practice to work closely with members who reach out to us and their representatives in instances like this, as that usually affords the best protection and best resolution for the affected member.”
