Josh Brolin Shares Perineum Sunning Woes

If you don’t know what perineum sunning is, perhaps you’re better off than most of us. If you do, let Josh Brolin’s story serve as a warning to the perils of this bizarre new practice.

The “Avengers: Endgame” star took to Instagram over the long holiday weekend to lament that he’d spent perhaps too much of it exploring this new phenomenon.

“My suggestion is DO NOT do it as long as I did,” he warned his followers. “My pucker hole is crazy burned.”

He then went on to detail how much the results ruined his holiday weekend, writing, “I was going to spend the day shopping with my family and instead I’m icing and using aloe and burn creams because of the severity of the pain.”

He concluded his deep thoughts with a series of hilarious hashtags including #blackholefriday, #blackholesun and even a shout-out to the #santamonicafiredepartment, though we doubt they’re on call for this particular problem.

In fact, we doubt Brolin really went all in on the practice at all, but it was nevertheless a hilarious response to something we’re not sure if we’re supposed to be taking seriously anyway.

The whole thing started when a video of three guys with their legs in the air started going viral on Instagram, with the promise that if you sun your “pucker hole,” as Brolin so charmingly put it, for 30 seconds “you will receive more energy from this electric node than you would in an entire day being outside with your clothes on.”

Was that serious? We may never know, but a few influencers picked up on it and then people started sharing it. Some maybe took it as a serious thing to try, but probably most were sharing it for the sheer ridiculousness of the very idea. And for the record, doctors are recommending against it as well, according to Health.com.

And it is in that spirit that Brolin appears to have chimed in, though his warning is certainly one to be wary of for anyone actually considering giving this whole thing a try. After all, that area has got to be pretty sensitive to the sun.

Hilariously, this is not Brolin’s first foray into posterior-based humor, as his character Thanos became the subject of a viral theory prior to the release of “Avengers: Endgame” wherein fans thought Ant-Man might be able to defeat him in a suppository manner.

Clearly this is a sore area for Brolin, and we certainly wish him a speedy recovery!
