THE RITZ-CARLTON REYNOLDS, LAKE OCONEE //

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to visit the gorgeous The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee. This was my second Ritz-Carlton partnership of the year – back in August, you may remember that I visited the The Ritz-Carlton, Naples in Southwest Florida. You can read all about that trip here.

The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee is a stunning property set along the shores of Lake Oconee in Greensboro, Georgia, about 75 miles from Atlanta. The natural beauty and privacy amidst the Georgia pines was the perfect setting for a quite escape amidst one of my busiest times of the year. I was looking to relax, eat well, and partake in a few outdoor activities – and this property certainly delivered on all three of those hopes!

We were fortunate enough to stay in one of the lakeside cottages during our trip, which proved to be so peaceful and relaxing. It was the perfect combination of luxury and comfort, featuring a fire place, separate living areas from bedrooms, and a kitchen stocked with complimentary snacks and drinks. We were also able to experience the Club Level, which offers access to a private lounge on fifth floor of the property with sweeping views of Lake Oconee. We stopped by at various points throughout our stay for complimentary cocktails and light bites. P.S. – the blueberry, white chocolate cookies are completely out of this world!

We had two incredible meals while on the property. The first was at Linger Longer Steakhouse which was just a short walk from the resort. The interiors of the restaurant are gorgeous and had the feel of being in a beautiful lakeside home. The food is unbelievable – we enjoyed the signature wedge salad and barrel cut filets with a side of potatoes au gratin. And of course, my favorite, a martini with blue cheese stuffed olives! The second night, we were lucky to be treated to the resort’s Chiminea Dining, which is a private lakefront dinner experience. It was so magical to sit in Adirondack chairs, lakeside, with a personal Chiminea bonfire and take in the scenery! After dinner was served we spent the evening relaxing around the campfire in the Backyard. The fire is lit every night and guests are encouraged to celebrate each evening by indulging in s’mores – the resort’s signature tradition!

The outdoor activities at The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee are unbelievable. From golf, to biking, to water sports, there is truly something for everyone. On our first day, we spent half a day at Sandy Creek Sporting Grounds across the lake from the property. Woven into over 100 acres, these grounds feature shooting, fishing, archery, nature trails, and off-road driving. We had an unforgettable morning with instructors learning all of the sporting endeavors and received a guided tour of the nearly 200 year old Sandy Creek Barn, which has been completely restored and is now used for corporate events, weddings, and parties. On the second day of the trip, opting for a more leisurely activity, we took a tritoon boat tour of Lake Oconee, straight from the docks of the property!

Overall I couldn’t have asked for a more fun and relaxing trip. I’m so proud to partner with The Ritz-Carlton and I feel so spoiled and taken care of on all of my adventures! So, the only question is, where should I go next?
