A former Shark Tank contestant was arrested after he was busted with more than $80,000 worth of drugs in his possession.
According to reports, the Department of Homeland Security, inspectors with the United States Postal Service, and police searched Joseph “Joe” Parisi’s home in Geneva, Illinois.
Parisi had appeared on Shark Tank with his business partner to try and secure investment for hs Guard Llama security system.
PEOPLE obtained a statement that confirmed that the warrant was executed after officials carried out a two-week investigation into Parisi, 31, which was believed to have contained ecstasy. The package was shipped from the Netherlands to a residential property in his home state. Police say that an additional package was also intercepted, and that one did contain 55 grams of ecstasy.
Police also allegedly discovered “7 grams psilocybin mushrooms, a small amount of cocaine, about 65 grams of cannabis and a small amount of ecstasy.”
Parisi has since been charged with controlled substance trafficking, manufacture/delivery of ecstasy, possession of a controlled substance, attempt to possess ecstasy, three counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.
