RHOA Stars Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker Welcome Baby Girl Via Surrogate

Congratulations are in order for Kandi Burruss and husband Todd Tucker!

The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” stars have welcomed their second child together, as their surrogate gave birth to a baby girl on Friday.

“She’s here! Blaze Tucker born at 6:54 p.m. on 11-22-19 weighing 8 lbs, 1 oz,” read a text message the singer sent to her fans. “I’m so thankful to add another healthy, beautiful, baby girl to the family!”

Kandi, 43, and Todd, 46, are already parents to 3-year-old son Ace. The business mogul is also mother to Riley, 17, and stepmom to Todd’s 22-year-old daughter Kaela.

On the season premiere of RHOA earlier this month, Kandi revealed the surrogate was expecting twins at first.

“We actually was supposed to be having twins, and then one of them didn’t continue,’ she said on the show. “I was sad at first, but then I just had to be grateful that the one made it.”

Last season, the pair had a difficult time finding a surrogate, eventually choosing a woman named Shadina.

“To allow somebody to carry my child inside of them? It was a tough decision to make,” Kandi explained on the show.

“I just feel like this whole situation is strange. I don’t get to be excited about the first kick. I don’t get to be excited about, ‘Oh now my baby bump is showing.’ I don’t get to be excited even about my boobs filling up with milk.”

“You have this guilt [and] sadness. So it’s a joyous, yet interesting experience,” she confessed.
