Tyra Banks Gains Weight – Twitter Calling Her A BBW!

TV personality Tyra Banks used to be one of the most beloved and successful models in the world. 

She was loved by fans not just for her beauty, but also for her personality and charm. Unlike most of her model peers, Tyra was funny, engaging, seemingly authentic and openly challenged the idea that models should be super skinny. 

At her modeling height she was a size 6-8 and beautiful.

As Tyra got a older however, she got a bit thicker, and thicker still. First she grew to a size 12 . . . and now she’s a size 16 according to online reports.

And for some on social media, that makes her a big girl, or a BBW.

Now some may argue that Tyra’s new size does not make her a BBW and puts her inline with the average American woman. True. Others, however, may lament her new weight gain and on what used to be Tyra Banks!

Tyra began her career as a model at the age of 15, and was the first woman of African-American descent to be featured on the covers of GQ and the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, on which she appeared thrice. She was a Victoria’s Secret Angel from 1997 to 2005. By the early 2000s, Tyra was one of the world’s top-earning models.
