Paris Hilton Sounds Off on Chances of a Simple Life Revival

While we would all say “Loves it” to a revival of “The Simple Life,” Paris Hilton said the same concept just wouldn’t work for her today.

When TooFab caught up with Hilton at the GO Campaign Gala at NeueHouse Hollywood on Saturday, we asked the DJ/entrepreneur if the show would ever make a comeback. With revivals of old shows popping up as quickly as new streaming services do, she said the idea has been floated past her.

“They’ve already approached me about it,” she said, before adding, “My schedule is so insane.”

“I think that show is so, the first of its kind, so timeless, so iconic and so … I don’t know if it could ever be remade,” she continued. “It’s a different time right now and like, Nicole [Richie] and I back then, yes of course it was fun doing that and me playing that character, we had the best time with my best friend on road trips all around the world and doing jobs we would never do in our lives and had the best time doing it, but now I’m like a serious business woman.”

“I think if I was doing that, I couldn’t play that dumb character anymore,” she added, before throwing this possibility out there: “Maybe like ‘The Simple Life: Boss Babes.'”

Hilton and BFF Nicole starred in the reality show that ran on both Fox and E! from 2003-2007. The series first followed the two rich girls as they left behind the glitz and glamour of Beverly Hills to live on a farm in Arkansas. The following seasons would show them doing odd jobs around the country, becoming interns, doing a version of “Wife Swap” and, eventually, try their hands at being camp counselors.

These days, Hilton has been keeping busy with her music and DJing career. She also shocked even herself by dropping her 25th fragrance, Electrify.

“It’s amazing, I always thought I would have one perfume, when I was a teenager that was my dream,” she told TooFab. “And to be releasing my 25th is just, insane, it’s amazing.”

As for Richie, she just signed on for a show on the short-form streaming platform Quibi. Her show, “Nikki Fre$h,” will follow Nicole’s rapper alter ego of the same name.
