Camille Grammer-Meyer denies asking her ex Kelsey Grammer for a divorce the day his mother died.
During a recent interview on “In Depth with Graham Bensinger,” Grammer, 64, recalled a difficult time in his life with the former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star, 51, whom he split with in 2010 after tying the knot in 1997.
“A month after I had a heart attack, my mother died, 12 years ago now. The day of my mother’s funeral, my third wife basically had an explosion about something,” Kelsey began. “And she started telling me, ‘I’m out of this, I’m out of here. I want a divorce, blah, blah blah’ — which, we’d had the same conversation for eight years, and it was tiresome.”
“I realized at that moment that I was done with her, that I was not going to end up in this relationship for much longer. And somewhere under a year [later], I was done,” he added.
Camille — who married Kelsey after his first two nuptials ended in divorce — took to Twitter to defend her good name.
“This is not true,” she began. “My parents were with us in the Hamptons when we received the news about his moms passing. We consoled him and flew back to LA to make arrangements for her funeral.”
“It’s unfortunate that he is rewriting history,” Camille added.
Kelsey, meanwhile, had more to say about Camille during his interview as he stated, “Honestly, I don’t really talk about her very much because so much of her life is spent talking about me and I just think it’s sort of pathetic.”
After the pair split, Camille was awarded half of Kelsey’s earnings at $30 million, according to Huffpost. The pair share daughter Mason, 17, and son Jude, 14.
Kelsey married his fourth wife, Kayte Walsh, in 2011. They share daughters Faith, seven, and Kelsey, five, and son Auden, three. Camille tied the knot with David C. Meyer in October 2018.
