Real Housewives of Potomac star Monique Samuels has finally broken her silence following the news that costar Candiace Dillard had filed a lawsuit against her over an alleged assault.
“Ms. Dillard has a public reputation for aggressive, belligerent and threatening behavior that has played out repeatedly on the Housewives of Potomac for millions of viewers to see for themselves,” Monique’s attorney A. Scott Bolden told Page Six in a statement. “To be sure, my client did nothing but defend herself in the face of more very aggressive behavior by Ms. Dillard.”
The fight allegedly took place while shooting the show, where Candiace says that Monique pulled her hair.
“If this event occurred during taping of the show, I am confident that the video will bear all of this out,” Bolden continued.
Candiace was seen on the show goading a pregnant Monique to drag her. Fans think it’s hypocritical of her to sue Monique as she was gunning for her all season.
