Hilaria Baldwin revealed on Instagram that she had suffered a miscarriage four months into her pregnancy — her second in seven months.
Following Hilaria’s emotional announcement Monday evening, niece Hailey Bieber commented on her aunt’s post and showed her support, “I’m so sorry. Love you guys ❤️”.
Hilaria, 35, who shares four children with Alec Baldwin, 61, shared the heartbreaking news with a video of herself with their 6-year-old daughter, Carmen.
“We are very sad to share that today we learned that our baby passed away at 4 months,” the fitness guru began in the caption. “We also want you to know that even though we are not ok right now, we will be. We are so lucky with our 4 healthy babies — and we will never lose sight of this. I told Carmen and took this so I could send it to Alec. I guess this is a good way to share it with you too.”
“I told her that this baby isn’t going to come after all…but we will try very hard to give her a little sister another time,” Hilaria added. “I’m really devastated right now…I was not expecting this when I went to my scan today. I don’t know what else to say…I’m still in shock and don’t have this all quite clear. Please no paparazzi…that’s all I ask.”

Hilaria and Alec shared their unique gender reveal last month and announced they were expecting a baby girl. In addition to Carmen Gabriela, 6, the couple, who have been married since 2012, also share Romeo Alejandro David, 16 months, Leonardo Ángel Charles, 3, and Rafael Thomas, 4.
The pair’s sad news this week came less than two months after they revealed Hilaria was pregnant with their fifth child in September.
Sharing a video of a sonogram, Hilaria made the exciting announcement on Instagram.
“It is still very early…but we have learned that there is a little person inside of me,” she began in the caption. “The sound of this strong heart makes me so happy — especially because of the loss we experienced in the spring. We want to share this news as we are excited and don’t want to hide the pregnancy.”
“These first few months are tough with exhaustion and nausea…and I don’t want to have to pretend that I feel OK,” she continued. “My one request is that the media not send paparazzi to follow me or buy independent paparazzi photos, hence encouraging them.”
Hilaria concluded, “I want to remain peaceful during this very early time in my pregnancy and getting chased around by cameras is not in the doctor’s orders.”
Their happy announcement at the time came just a few months after Hilaria opened up about her previous miscarriage back in April.
