Whitney Houston’s Best Friends Spills The Tea On Their Secret Relationship!!

Whitney Houston’s best friend Robyn Crawford has spilled the tea on their rumored romance with the global superstar.

Robyn is promoting her new memoir A Song For You: My Life with Whitney Houston and shared an excerpt with PEOPLE magazine.

Seven years after Whitney’s death, she says, “I’d come to the point where I felt the need to stand up for our friendship. And I felt an urgency to stand up and share the woman behind the incredible talent.”

She continued:

“We wanted to be together,” says Robyn, “and that meant just us.”

According to Robyn, the star ended the physical part of their relationship soon after she signed a record deal with Clive Davis at Arista.

“She said we shouldn’t be physical anymore,” Robyn writes, “because it would make our journey even more difficult.”

“She said if people find out about us, they would use this against us, and back in the ’80s that’s how it felt […]I kept it safe. I found comfort in my silence.”

Whitney’s mother, gospel singer Cissy Houston reportedly told her daughter than two women being together was not “natural.”

“We never talked about labels, like lesbian or gay. We just lived our lives and I hoped it could go on that way forever.”
