Remember Love & Hip Hop star Bobby Lytes – well he’s no longer a male. The reality star is coming out as a transgender – and he’s going by the name Vanity.
Here’s a pic of the new and improved Bob … whoops – Vanity.
Bobby plans on making his official “coming out” on the upcoming season of Love & Hip Hop Miami, which has already begun filming.
Bobby is a reality star and rapper. He is also hip hop star Trina’s first cousin. He joined the cast of Love & Hip Hop: Miami in its second season and became the franchise’s first openly gay main cast member.
While on the show, Love & Hip Hop chronicled Bobby’s career struggles as a gay rapper in the homophobic hip hop industry, but it showed his struggles within his personal life. In the first season, Bobby’s storyline revolved around him learning that his boyfriend of a year and a half had been cheating on him with his ex.
In the second season, viewers saw Bobby’s friendship with his straight male BFF Prince disintegrate after he disapproved of Prince’s relationship with a woman.
Earlier this summer, Bobby has made it no secret since Lil Nas X the “Old Town Road” rapper came out of the closet, that he wanted to be first in line for his heart. In fact, he boldly shot his shot for the first time on his Instagram page on July 1 — one day after X came out — reposting a photo of the 20-year-old chart-topper with a caption that blatantly expressed his feelings about him.
