Roger Mathews didn’t take Jenni Farley’s negative comments about their marriage lightly.
After JWoww, 34, called her relationship with Roger her “biggest” regret, the “Jersey Shore” star’s ex hit back in a fiery statement to Us Weekly.
“You don’t spend almost a decade of your life with only one person then just never care about them again. You can act like you do but you’re probably lying,” Roger, 44, told the publication Friday. “Hatred spawns from love.”
Roger’s comments came after JWoww had a candid conversation with BFF Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi on Thursday night’s episode of “Jersey Shore Family Vacation.” Though JWoww said she was happy with boyfriend Zack Clayton Carpinello, aka “24,” she was still sad over the demise of her marriage.
“We were talking about regrets earlier, and I’ve been thinking about the biggest one,” she said to Nicole, who blurted out, “Roger. He’s the f–king worst. But you always knew it wasn’t right.”
“Yup,” JWoww replied. Nicole reminded JWoww that the marriage to Roger begat her two beautiful children, which did bring JWoww some comfort. “They’re my bliss,” she said, “as I’m suffering.”
“I’m going through it with the divorce,” JWoww added in a later confessional. “It’s been like almost a year since I filed. When you get a divorce, you’re supposed to be celebrating and like start a new chapter, but it’s really heartbreaking. And it’s stressful, the up-and-down battle of figuring out custody issues. I just don’t know when it gets better. It’s more than exhausting; it can like mentally break someone. I just want peace.”
JWoww, who is 11 years Roger’s junior, filed for divorce in September 2018 after three years of marriage, leading to an ugly public exchange between the two that saw accusations of abuse flying both ways.
Finalizing their divorce in August, JWoww and Roger put away their words of weapon and forged peace for the sake of their two children, five-year-old Meilani and three-year-old Greyson.
